DC Micro Grid


For over fifteen years the Department of Energy has stressed that the future for power in commercial buildings will be a DC Micro Grid. Almost 13 years ago ADI developed a low voltage DC Micro Grid for power and control of LED illumination. ADI’s technology is continuously being enhanced and expanded and has been utilized in over 12,000 installations.

0-10 VDC Control


Even though 0-10 VDC control for dimming lighting is an antiquated technology it is still being used by most of the “low-tech” lighting industry. One of the many problems with 0-10 VDC control is the poor “quality” and “uniformity” of the 0-10 VDC signal from industry controls. Because a DC powered lighting system still needs to integrate with this outdated technology ADI developed the ability to receive a poor quality 0-10 VDC signal and digitally process it to provide “smooth” and even dimming. This algorithm has been implemented in numerous manufacturer’s control protocol.

For over a decade ADI believed voice control combined with environmental sensors would be the “end-game” for lighting control. By developing Amazon Alexa hardware and command protocols that communicate directly with DMX, DALI, BACnet and 0-10 VDC controls, ADI provides centralized control of a buildings DC lighting by voice control from every room or by using IOS or Google applications on “Smart Devices”. ADI’s centralized DC Micro Grid control of lighting by voice, sensors and the IoT; provides the simplest, easiest to commission, most reliable, user friendly control for lighting.

Specialized
Security Illumination


ADI has developed a Multi-channel LED Illumination Technology providing illumination in certain areas of the spectrum that are invisible to the human eye and many UV and IR detectors. This provides visualization with specialized cameras and headset devices for security applications that is inconspicuously integrated into a building’s ambient lighting system. For extreme levels of security, the frequencies of illumination can be scheduled to change at predetermined times known only to the security provider, delivering an added level of protection.

Multiport DMX Merge


With the growing use of category cables for lighting control and power there is a need to provide the ability to merge lighting control signals from multiple Cat-6 cables into one cable or command stream. ADI has developed a 12-port answer for this requirement. Our AC or DC powered “Merge Technology” accurately merges DMX or DALI data on up to 12 Cat-6 cables into a single command stream on a single Cat-6 cable
